Hello! I have enjoyed the counseling profession for the past 25 years and became a LPC in 1997. I have served as Director of Counseling Services at SWOSU for many years and have experience working with adults dealing with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and trauma. I love to provide quick tools for clients to use to combat anxiety and depression to bring much needed relief. Along with traditional therapies, I enjoy using EMDR and have found it to be helpful for many dealing with painful memories, past trauma and phobias.

I believe the counseling process can be life changing and sometimes life-saving. I have witnessed it many times and have experienced it myself. No one is immune to the ups and downs of life. Walking difficult paths with others and watching them improve and heal is the reason I continue to do what I do. Sometimes situations look dark and hopeless, but there is always hope and help for problems that seem overwhelming. Counseling is not magic, but it can be extremely comforting to realize that you are not alone or the first one to have your type of problem. It feels good to talk with someone that is understanding, as well as, trained to provide you with the tools and resources you need to meet your goals for improved mental health. I look forward to meeting you!
